Craig C. Dunaway

Craig Dunaway has been in the advertising industry for more than 25 years, the last 16 at the well- respected creative firm Perich Advertising + Design in Ann Arbor. Craig is Vice President and Director of Client Services. His primary responsibilities include managing the firm’s business relationships and establishing strategies for Perich’s diverse group of clients. Over the years, Craig and Perich have delivered highly effective and award-winning campaigns for brands such as Carhartt, JBL, Harman Kardon, La-Z-Boy, Lacoste, Mitsubishi Electric, Reebok, Smart USA, Titleist, Walsh College, and the Detroit Institute of Arts, to name a few. Brief Stints at The Berline Group, Ross Roy Communications and DDB Needham preceded Craig’s arrival at Perich.

The son of a veteran, Craig grew up in Lakes Charles, LA and Pittsburgh, PA before attending the University of Michigan, where he earned his degree in political science. At Michigan, Craig was a tight end on Bo Schembechler-coached football teams that won two Big 10 Championships and the 1981 Rose Bowl. As a senior, he was recognized with the inaugural Hugh J. Radar, Jr. Memorial Award for best lineman as selected by his coaches, and received the Arthur D. Robinson Scholarship Award as the team’s top senior scholar. In 1983, Craig was drafted by and played briefly for the Pittsburgh Steelers before embarking on his advertising career.

Today, Craig absolutely loves coaching his teen-aged sons’ football, basketball and track teams. He and his wife, Geri, and their two sons, Jack and Carter, live in Birmingham, MI.
